Can I delete a transaction?

Posted financial transactions are not deleted. They are voided or reversed, so the record of what happened stays intact and your reports can be reproduced.

Void a document that should never have existed, such as an invoice raised in error. Reverse a transaction that was correct at the time but needs undoing, such as a payment applied to the wrong invoice.

Both leave the original visible and clearly marked, and both remove its effect from your balances.

Drafts can be deleted, because they have not affected anything yet.

This is what makes an audit of your books possible. A deleted transaction leaves a gap nobody can explain later.
